RIYADH, 29 January 2008 — In recognition of Mobily’s outstanding support for Saudi sports in general and junior tennis in particular, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) sent letter of thanks to the company’s top executives.

Luca Santilli, the ITF’s manager for juniors and seniors, thanked Mobily CEO Khalid Alkaf, Humoud Al-Ghobaini, corporate communications senior manager, and Ashraf Younis Mohammed, sports marketing team leader at Mobily, for their support of junior tennis tournaments in the Kingdom.

“The ITF would like to sincerely thank Mobily for their continued support of junior tennis in Saudi Arabia through sponsorship of the ITF Junior Circuit tournaments in the country,” said Santilli in his letter.

For his part the Mobily CEO said: “We are proud of and honored by the ITF’s recognition of our efforts to bring national tennis to international levels.” Alkaf added: “Mobily will continue with its strategy to help young Saudis become professional athletes. Mobily had sponsored all of the activities of the Saudi Tennis Federation, as well as national tennis teams, thus effectively becoming the official brand of the federation. That included Mobily’s sponsorship of several tournaments under the title “Mobily Open,” the latest of which was the Mobily Seventh International Tennis Tournament, which concluded in November 2007 on the courts of the Institute of Leadership in Riyadh.

Mobily has a long-term, comprehensive sponsorship program for sporting activities in which it supports tennis and a slew of other sports and sporting clubs and leagues in the Kingdom, including soccer, handball, squash, martial arts and motor sports.

Mobily provides nominal and official sponsorship to 13 sporting federations of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, as well as seven national sporting clubs and the Saudi Olympic Committee. Mobily is also sponsoring the Mobily Football League for Saudi Schools for three years, and had been sponsor for the national soccer team until the end of 2007.
