JEDDAH, 22 April 2008 — More than 50 Yaris Club members took part in the club’s first event for Yaris owners at IN 10 SO Entertainment Center here recently.
Mohammad Ba Hassan, ALJ’s PR and events manager, and Yaris Club representatives welcomed them. Registered participants were given membership cards.
They were divided into four groups who competed in karting, climbing wall, crossbow and rifle shooting.
“Yaris Club aims to educate youth and increase their awareness about safe driving,” Ba Hassan said.
The club aims to serve 900 members from all over the Kingdom by providing cannels of communication.
It has a website to make it easy for members to remain in touch with each other. The website displays events and activities of the club, in addition to information on Yaris cars.
Saud Atiya Al-Malki, Walid Zakariya Nour, Mohamed Ali Al-Ghamdi, Ali Badr Saleh Al-Walian, Youssef Sami Ahmed, Hani Mohamed Shalabi, Abdul Karim Abdul Samad Al-Gawi, Abdul Rahman Tarek Habib, Aziz Khan, and Fahd Eiza Al-Malki were among the winners who received iPod sets.
Club members also received tickets for an inter-club football match.
