MAKKAH, 23 April 2008 — Police yesterday rounded up three Yemeni nationals suspected of involvement in the murder of a compatriot in Makkah last week. The three suspects had escaped to Qassim and then to Riyadh after committing the crime but were tracked down by the Makkah police on the basis of evidence collected at the scene of the murder.
According to a police source, the body, which was found on top of a mountain in the Al-Muabad district by shepherds, had a number of stab wounds.
In another development, three schoolboys were critically injured in a fight between the students of two schools in the Aziziah district of Makkah. Police are investigating the cause of the fight in which clubs and knives were used.
