HAIL: The body of a three-year-old boy who went missing in Hail in early February was found on Sunday at a remote desert location north of Hail.
Mohsen Al-Saadi’s body was discovered following the arrest of a 22-year-old unemployed youth whose name and nationality were not released.
Sources said the youth has a previous crime record. On arrest, he confessed to abducting and raping Al-Saadi, but he claimed that he abandoned the boy in the desert alive.
Al-Saadi was reportedly abducted from outside his grandmother’s home in Al-Samraa district of Hail by a man in a four-wheel drive Land Cruiser.
The three-year-old had come to Hail from a village on a family visit with his parents and siblings. The abduction was seen by one of his siblings who raised the alarm.
Following reports of the abduction, police had sealed off the area and launched a massive search operation.
