Worker found murdered in apartment

DAMMAM: Police in the eastern city of Alkhobar are investigating the death of a 62-year-old Pakistani expatriate who was found stabbed to death in his apartment.

Col. Yousuf Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the Eastern Province police, said Alkhobar police visited the man’s apartment after his employers notified them that he had been absent from work. “His body was found soaked in blood. He had been stabbed a number of times all over his body, including a deep cut to the throat,” he said.

The spokesman said the man’s body has been taken to a hospital morgue for forensic checks.
