RIYADH: A delegation from Al-Ahsa Technical College arrived in Manchester to meet British Council officials to discuss agreements and alliances between the council and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in Al-Ahsa.
The delegation — comprising Adel Al-Mahboub, dean of Al-Ahsa Technical College for Training Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Abdul Muneim Mahmoud, Bander Al-Qahtani and Waleed Al-Showaiheen — also met officials from Bradford College and discussed ways of cooperation.
A memorandum of understanding between the two sides aims to improve the quality of education by training instructors and regularly evaluating their performance. “One major concern is maintaining an excellent quality of training,” said a TVTC statement.
The talks also included the importance of periodical evaluations to ensure that the trainees have the skills necessary to help them pass courses.
The teaming between Al-Ahsa Technical College and Bradford College aims at widening horizons of cooperation between the two educational establishments.
“Al-Ahsa Technical College believes trainees deserve the best quality of education and that is our top priority,” they added. Al-Ahsa Technical College offers training in pneumatic and hydraulic control technology and computer technology, which gives students and trainees a variety of career routes.
