JEDDAH: Mayor of Jeddah Adel Fakieh signed yesterday a document approving the operational summary for the development of Jeddah’s unorganized Al-Ruwais district.
The mayor signed the document with Saleh Malaikah, CEO of Al-Ruwais Union Company for Real Estate Development, which is going to commence a cadastral and structural evaluation of the area over the next two months.
Fakieh said the project would be the second of its kind after the Khozam development project. The city’s underdeveloped areas are being developed to improve living standards.
Malaikah said the project covers 1.8 million square meters. The development area includes the center of Al-Ruwais district, which is cornered by Al-Andalus Road from the west, King Abdullah Road from the south, Madinah Road from the east and Palestine Street from the north.
