Schneider makes its mark

RIYADH: Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has been serving Saudi Arabia for the last 30 years by providing solutions to the Kingdom’s vast power needs.

The company, which employs around 600 employees of 17 nationalities in the Kingdom, has a presence in almost every Saudi city. It recently opened the Schneider Electric Innovative Center in Dammam.

“The main aim of this center is to serve our customers and help them further discover what the company offers in making the most of their energy,” said Christophe Campagne, country manager of Schneider Saudi Arabia.

Campagne said Schneider Electric also works side by side with local communities to assist handicapped children in Riyadh under the Luli program, which was established six years ago.

Schneider Electric’s head office is located in Riyadh’s Second Industrial City and has eight branches Kingdom-wide and two manufacturing plants in Riyadh. “A team of more than 60 sales and marketing engineers are close to customers all over the Kingdom to understand their application needs and propose right solutions and continuous support,” said Campagne. He added that the company also has a fully-fledged customer support center in Dubai. The company’s major customers in the energy and infrastructure segment include New Gas Factory, Yanbu Industrial City, National Titanium Dioxide Plant (Crystal), Saudi Electricity Company, King Fahd International Airport, Riyadh City Sewage Treatment Plant and Saudi Telecom Co.

Its industry segment covers the Jeddah Islamic Port, Saudi Aramco, SABIC (Saudi Basic industries Corp.) and its affiliates, Al-Marai Processing Plant and Crystal Project, while its building segment serves Riyadh TV complex, Arar Hospital project, King Saudi University Health Science Center, King Abdullah University for Science & Technology, King Faisal University Phase-II and Mall of Arabia. Its residential segment includes Arqa Palace, the Residential Towers around the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Military Cities (MODA) and the National Guard.
