Mentally ill man stabs himself

YANBU: A crowd gathered here recently to watch a mentally ill man who, armed with a knife, had climbed on top of a parked car in front of a furnished apartment building and stabbed himself twice in his legs.

Police who attended the scene of the commotion tried to calm the man down before he stabbed himself, but the man refused to listen.

Officers contacted the man’s brother who also tried to make him relax.

The man then said he would only give himself up if people would go away.

Officers dispersed the crowd and the man gave himself up and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
