JEDDAH: The Saudi Professional League resumes on Wednesday with four round seven matches taking place.
In the first match, Al-Ahli is away to Najran. The match was originally scheduled in Jeddah but was moved to Najran after Ahli was penalized for the ugly incident that took place during its match against Al-Hilal at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
Ahli is in fourth position with nine points and looking to collect the game’s three points to come back in business. Ahli still has one pending match against Al-Hazem.
Ahli secured vital points with a 2-1 round six win against Al-Qadisia. Najran, on the other hand, will be trying to get out of the last position in the standings with a win against Ahli. Al-Raid entertains league leader Hilal in Al-Rass in Buraidah. Hilal leads the pack with 16 points from five wins and one draw. Against 10-ranked Raid, Hilal should have no trouble duplicating its masterful 5-1 win over Al-Fateh in the previous round.
Al-Fateh hosts Al-Qadesia in Al-Ahsa. Al-Fateh is fifth in the standings with seven points and Qadisia ninth with four points. Last match of the day is between Al-Hazem and Shabab. Shabab is second with 12 points while Al-Hazem is fifth with seven points.
