JEDDAH: Al-Ittihad suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat against Al-Nasr at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal stadium in Jeddah on Sunday in a round 8 pending match of the Saudi Professional League.
The defeat puts a question mark on Ittihad’s unpredictable performance during the league while Nasr has been moving from strength to strength after every outing. Abdullah Al-Qarni (30th) and Al-Sahlawi (64th) were the scorers for Nasr while Ahmad Hadeed (56th) got the only goal for Ittihad.
Ittihad’s Ahmad Hadeed and Osama Al-Muwallad were shown the red card toward the fag end of the match for dangerous play.
Nasr is in the fourth place with 24 points while Ittihad is still in the third spot with 29 points.
