JEDDAH: A Saudi-German joint venture has been formed in the home appliances sector with plans for investments and job opportunities across the Kingdom.
The newly-formed BSH Home Appliances Saudi Arabia LLC is aimed at driving the growth of Bosch and Siemens products, which are “renowned for their quality and technological superiority in the Kingdom,” said Mohammed Al-Saggaff, a member of the board of BSH Home Appliances Saudi Arabia LLC, at a press conference held at the Park Hyatt Hotel on Saturday night.
Al-Saggaff and Jean Dufour, member of the board of BSH Group, took part in the signing ceremony.
BSH Saudi Arabia is a joint venture between Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group (BSH), described as the world’s No. 3 and Europe’s No. 1 in the home appliances sector, and Al-Saggaff, the founder of Al-Jezy Group, a diversified business group.
The new joint venture, which builds on several decades of BSH’s active presence in the Kingdom, is part of an expansion plan for significant growth and leverages the growth potential offered by the Kingdom, the largest economy in the GCC region, said Jean Dufour, member of the board of management, chief sales and marketing officer at the Munich-based BSH.
With a focus on enhanced services, the new joint venture will work toward driving investments in three new regional centers to be managed by experienced professionals. The new entity will also play a key role in the socio-economic development of the Kingdom by promoting new jobs in sales, finance and marketing for Saudi nationals.
“BSH is bringing a new business dynamic to the home appliances sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of our largest markets in the Middle East region, with the new joint venture. We are also introducing a wide range of energy efficient and environment-friendly products,” said Dufour.
BSH’s range of domestic appliances finds resonance with the local consumers for their quality, energy and water efficiency, and long life, which have been proved over the past several decades, said Hartmut Wesenberg, managing director of BSH Home Appliances Saudi Arabia LLC.
The announcement is marked by the addition of an entire new range of high quality Bosch and Siemens products at the dedicated showroom of BSH Home Appliances Saudi Arabia LLC in Jeddah, located on Tahlia Street. A second showroom will open in Riyadh later this year.
