RIYADH: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) registered an easy 15-run win against the Indian Embassy Cricket team in an exhibition match organized by TCS.
TCS was led by Sandeep Shrivastava and the Indian Embassy team was captained by M.S Kanyal.
TCS won the toss and elected. The decision was justified as the TCS batsmen batted sensibly, Bhuvan Sahu smashed a quick-fire 41 runs.
He got able support from Debashish Mishra (34 runs) and Shaz Faruqi (38) TCS made 160 runs in their allotted 22 overs.
For Indian Embassy team Manoj and Guru Raj took two wickets each.
Chasing a modest total the Indian Embassy team could muster only 145 runs in their allotted overs. Guru Raj (20) and Burhan (22) were the main contributors.
For TCS Shuaib Haroon bowled well to pick up 5 wickets and conceded only 15 runs.
Ashiqul Hassan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant wicketkeeping. He took two catches and was responsible for 2 run outs.
M.S.Kanyal of Indian Embassy team thanked the TCS management for organizing the match and bringing the expatriates together and forge better relationship.
He further mentioned that the activity is a good source for the outlet of positive energy.
