JEDDAH: Manhar Musafir won the top prize in an interschool quiz contest organized by the Indian School Parents Forum (ISPAF) here Friday. James George and Hamdan won the second and third prizes respectively.
Musafir received Atlas gold medal and an Air Arabia ticket while George was given a plane ticket and Hamdan a camera, ISPAF President Assainar said.
Jaleel Malik of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology was the quizmaster in the final round while Abdul Aziz Thankayathil, general secretary of ISPAF, in the pre-final in which 50 contestants took part.
"Six students who scored the highest marks participated in the final contest," Assainar said. They included Dilrupa Sharief, Naveid Mohamed and Muhammad Suhail in addition to the top three winners.
A large number of students and parents attended the finale at Buds & Blossom School. Indian School Managing Committee Chairman Salah Karadan, Indian School Principal Syed Masood Ahmed, Al Wurood School Principal Rahmathullah, Atlas Manager Ramesh Kumar, Musafir of Malayalam News, Venugopal of Buds & Blossom and Assainar distributed prizes among winners.
