He was also the winner of the award for nearest to pin.
His handicap now down to 10 from 13 just a few months back, Zailon played steady golf to shoot 80 and win with a net score of 70. Zailon carded nines of 40-40 in slightly windy conditions in the tournament sponsored by ABV Rock Group Ltd. through Torsten Skold.
Promising Saudi junior golfer Faisal Salhab, 14, arguably one of the most exciting Saudi golfers to emerge since Khaled Attieh in the last three years, took second place via the countback over South African Attish Vela after both players tied on 74.
The 11 handicap Salhab, who hits the ball a long way, played well on the front nine and made few mistakes coming home in a round of 85 (40-45), while Vela, with a 14 handicap,  signed for an 88 (42-46).
Pakistani Mohammad Farooq, who works at ABV Rock Group, fired the low net of the day, a 69, to claim the Division B (15-21) title with Paul Rathbone in second place and Pyong Woo-lee in third.
Farooq, with a 21 handicap, returned a gross score of 90. He outdid himself to shoot 40 on the front nine  but struggled when the winds came for a 49 on the back side.
The 16 handicap Rathbone tallied 3-under 70 from a gross 86 (42-44) while Pyong, with a 21 handicap,  had 71 from 92.
George Simpson of BAE Systems was the Best Gross champion, shooting a 76 that also made him a winner in the parallel BAE Systems Monthly Medal tournament.
The Stableford format Division C for players with 22-28 handicap went to FGAer Joe Vellado who pooled 40 points, the equivalent of 4 under  in medal play. Rodney Taylor and Abbi Olayadi took second and third by countback on 35 points.
Indian Paromita Mukherjee ruled the Ladies Division on 36 points with Louis Barker and Young Hee-park in second and third on 35 points.
Skold, assisted by RGC Director of Golf V. T. M. Rafi and Jaykaran, distributed the prizes to the winners during the awards ceremony. The next monthly tournament sponsored by Falcom will be on March 12, according to Rafi who left for Manila Thursday night to lead the RGC team in the 63rd   PAL Interclub Golf Tournament to be held in Bacolod, central Philippines.
