Arab News spoke to an official at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry official who said they had no information about the reduction of soft drink prices. He said, “We have no information about a decrease in the price of soft drinks. As soon as we are informed by the soft drink manufactures, we will immediately make sure everyone is following the new order by sending field supervisors specially in the first period of the reduction.” He said that they would also follow the purchases to make sure there was no tampering by supermarkets and distributors.
