Greene leads No. 1 UConn to 16th Big East title

Greene made her first seven shots and grabbed 12 rebounds to earn most outstanding player honors for the tournament.
The Huskies have won five of the last six conference tournament titles and enter the NCAAs unbeaten for the fifth time in school history. UConn went on to win the national championship in 1995, 2002, and 2009. In 1996-97 they lost to Tennessee in the regional final. In all 11 teams have gone through the regular season unbeaten with five of them winning the national title.
UConn (33-0) stands six wins short of becoming the first team to go through consecutive seasons unbeaten. The Huskies surpassed their own NCAA record for consecutive wins on Monday night.

Middle Tennessee 70 Arkansas-Little Rock 68, OT: In Hot Springs, Arkansas, Alysha Clark scored 48 points, including the winning layup with 1.8 seconds left in overtime, to lead Middle Tennessee to the Sun Belt tournament title.
Clark set the tournament’s single-game scoring record for a third straight game and finished with a three-game total of 132 points. The Blue Raiders (25-5) needed every basket to hold off top-seeded UALR (26-6) and earn their 13th NCAA tournament bid.
The Trojans, who had won 21 straight games, fought back from a seven-point deficit in overtime to tie it on Channon Haywood’s two free throws with 29.4 seconds remaining.
With the shot clock off, Middle Tennessee found Clark, who was guarded under the basket but managed to score with a quick, powerful move.

South Dakota State 79 Oral Roberts 75, OT: In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kristin Rotert scored 21 points and made the game-clinching free throw with 4 seconds left in overtime to give defending champion South Dakota State a second straight Summit League tournament championship.
he Jackrabbits earned their second straight automatic NCAA tournament bid in their second year as a full-fledged Division I member.
The Eagles beat SDSU in both regular-season meetings and came back from nine points down with less than four minutes to play in regulation to force overtime.
Maria Boever added 18 points and Ketty Cornemann 17 for the Jacks (22-10).
Jaci Bigham scored 28 points, Kevi Luper 17, Jordan Pyle 12 and Janae Voelker 10 for Oral Roberts (23-9).
