One of the suspected confessed to the crime when confronted with strong evidence. “He gave details of the crime in addition to the name of his accomplice,” said Jeddah police spokesman Col. Misfer Al-Juaid.
According to a police report, a job-related dispute was the cause of the murder.
Airline security officers discovered the body of the employee, an Indian, in a pool of blood in his apartment in the airline’s housing compound in Khalediah district more than a week ago.
There was no sign of struggle or any other violence on the body except a single stab wound to the neck. As no valuables were missing from the apartment, investigators concluded that the motive of the crime was something other than theft.
The spokesman said the suspects would be produced before court as the formalities of endorsing their statements were completed.
