The former minister, Khalifa Bakhit Al-Falasi, and the two other men had been sentenced to two years in jail on charges of deceiving the businesswoman and taking over her late brother's stake in a technology firm. But in May, an appeal court acquitted them and threw out that sentence. Monday's decision reversed that ruling. The court of cassation also decided that the two men who worked as managers of the technology company would be deported after serving their sentence. The ruling is considered final, unless new evidence emerges.
