RIYADH: The Interior Ministry asserted that the Saudi driver’s license should not be used to confirm the identity of either Saudi citizens or foreign residents. “It is simply a document allowing the bearer to drive a vehicle,” the ministry said in a statement posted on Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday. The ministry urged everybody to comply with this directive.
