The consumer electronics company is the sole distributor of Sony products in Saudi Arabia, and its operations cover sales, marketing, distribution and servicing of Sony products.
"People expect only the best from Sony, and that places a huge responsibility on us. Customers in Saudi Arabia are very keen on buying only 'made in Japan' products from Sony so we ensure that this market is supplied with the best electronic stuff," said Taro Kimura, MECL's general manager of sales and marketing.
"We keep a close eye on the needs of our customers and provide them with ultimate technology in the world of electronics."
Kimura noted that the Kingdom remains one of Sony's most exciting markets, a claim MECL Managing Director Bader Al-Swailem agreed with.
"The Saudi market is very promising. Our company has the largest market share in Saudi Arabia at 40 percent. Most of our products are generally geared toward youth, and the youth segment is considered to form a majority of the Saudi community," he said.
"Through the branded Sony World showrooms, we are constantly looking at enhancing our brand and innovative capabilities to provide the best possible services to all our customers in a record time. Our showrooms have their own unique signature and fit well with our corporate philosophy."
MECL, a subsidiary of Al-Faisaliah Group Holding Co. Ltd., has been operating in Saudi Arabia for more than 35 years and now has 37 Sony World outlets across the country.
The outlets are the company's direct-retail division, which carries the entire range of Sony products.
The main focus of Sony World is to provide a good customer experience through an interactive display, well-trained staff, customer financing options as well as free delivery and installation.
The showrooms present an imaginative, free-style display designed to showcase Sony's latest product range in a trendy fashion.
The showrooms also offer a range of innovative products and services in the information technology, entertainment and consumer electronics categories.
