The agreement was signed by Ibrahim Mohammed Badawood, executive director of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP) which runs BRJ, and Sameer Abdulqadir Ahmed, managing director of Naseer Trading Group.
Abdulqadir said Naseer Trading Group, a fully Saudi-owned company, was one of the first Saudi companies to go global. He added that the company has established a sister company that specializes in granting franchise rights outside the Kingdom.
“As a Saudi organization, Naseer Group’s revenues stay inside the Kingdom to support the national economy, increase investment opportunities and create jobs for Saudi talents,” he said.
He added that the group is not a representative of a foreign company and that is why it is keen to support development in the Kingdom. He also said the group is always involved in community and charity work “based on a deep-rooted belief that it is part of Saudi society.”
“A few years ago, Naseer Group started an employment program for people with special needs and others. The group has successfully applied the Saudization program in its various departments,” he said.
“Signing this agreement with BRJ to provide training ending with employment for 55 young men comes in line with our corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Our Saudization program will continue, and we will employ qualified and capable Saudi citizens in leading positions in the group,” he added.
Badawood said the six-month training, which will end with an employment program, contains both theory and practical work. “The program is designed to provide trainees with sales skills and behaviors that would empower them to do the job in malls and markets. In addition, the program enables them to improve their business-related English language skills and computer skills,” he said.
“After completing the training session, trainees will be able to update themselves with the latest electronic marketing and procurement techniques. In addition, the program covers other areas, such as public relations, customer services, supervision and marketing,” he added.
