Food show records on-the-spot deals

The consul general as well as diplomats from Italy, China, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia, Taiwan and other countries said they were keen on cooperating with the Kingdom in its efforts to provide for food security for its rapidly growing population.
"The fair is excellent in terms of quality. Buyers are also too many here," said Pradeep Kumar, marketing manager of Thailand's ABC Products Co. Ltd.
Southern United States Trade Association, which works with US exporters, introduced its products that are known worldwide for their variety and quality. "The Southern US is known for its great-tasting food and quality agricultural products, and our first time participation in the show has convinced us that there is great demand for our products," said Michael Ryshouwer, international marketing specialist at Florida-based Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
"Our halal sector has enormous potential in this part of the world," Muneer Pasha of US-based Salwa Foods Inc., said.
Dieter Fiebelkorn, GM, Kaechele, Germany, said its varieties of hotel linen had received a number of inquiries. In great demand here our linen such as different varieties and qualities of tablecloth, chair cover, curtain and uniform.
Mario Conti, sole director and president of CO.PRO.SpA , which manufactures "Cool Style" cooling products, said it found a number of takers for the company's cooling appliances.
