"Cooperation is beneficial to both countries, and we hope to strengthen cooperation, especially in the field of scientific research.
“The Kingdom’s universities, institutes and technical centers are capable of collaborating with research centers in Germany," Prince Salman said.
Prince Salman arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany on an official visit after completing his tour of Norway on Sunday.
The prince was briefed on the Technology Center and technological development in Germany, particularly in the area of renewable energy. The prince also viewed the various stages of the manufacture of solar energy panels.
The prince was accompanied by Jens Heuer, undersecretary of the Ministry of Economics and Technology and Women's Affairs in Berlin.
In a meeting with businessmen at the Technology Center, the prince said, “I'm happy today to be with you and to start my visit to Berlin.
“I am delighted to be in Berlin, which was divided when I first visited it.”
Relations between Saudi Arabia and the Federal Republic of Germany are old and strong, the cooperation between them is ongoing, the prince said.
The prince hoped for further meetings between Saudi and German scientists in the future.
“The Kingdom, thank God, like Germany enjoys a state of stability and security. Its economy is free and attractive for investment from anywhere. It doors are open for competition,” the prince said.
