One of the founders, who did not want to be named, told Arab News that the channel will focus on news programs and documentary films projecting the predicament and suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the continued Israeli occupation and the Gaza blockade. They also said the channel will broadcast national songs encouraging the Palestinians to continue their steadfastness and confirming their legitimate right to return to their homeland.
"The channel will reveal the ugly face of Israel, refute its false claims that it is the victim in the conflict and prove beyond doubt that it is the aggressor and the coercer of the Palestinian people," one of the owners said. "Israel has no consideration for the international laws nor human rights."
The owners did not say when the channel would begin transmission.
Meanwhile Sheikh Youssef Al-Qardawi, chairman of the International Council of Muslim Scholars,  said on Tuesday that the council would send a boat next month to Gaza with a number of volunteer scholars.
"This is a symbol of the participation of Muslim scholars in the major Islamic issues, such as the continued occupation of Palestine and the blockade against 1.5 million Palestinian Muslims in Gaza," he said.
