The show has Indian and Pakistani children who compete against each other as the best singing talent.
Chotte Ustad is hosted by Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, son of legendry late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Indian singer Sonu Nigam.
The MNS has questioned the producers of the reality show as to how they had invited the Pakistani child singers and why the citizens of Pakistan are welcomed to Mumbai even after the 26/11 terror attacks.
A delegation of MNS Cine Workers Association led by Amay Khopkar on Monday evening suddenly barged into the offices of the channel and protested against the inclusion of Pakistani children in the reality show.
Khopkar warned the channel that if the Pakistani child artists are not deported immediately, then the MNS would respond in its "style" and launch an agitation.
In the past, Pakistani comedian Shakeel Siddiqui, who was participating in the Comedy Circus show on another channel, has been forced to leave the country after the MNS issued similar threats.
Meanwhile, two different kinds of opinions on the MNS threat is expressed in the Indian television industry. Renowned film producer-director Mahesh Bhatt has condemned the MNS for their threats on the issue. He questioned the MNS whether it was using the children for spreading hatred and communal divide. Writer-director Vinit Nanda said such acts that of the MNS cannot be tolerated in a democratic set-up.
However, the president of the Producers Guild T.P. Agarwal concurred with the MNS stand and asked whether the Indian child artists are invited to Pakistan and given an opportunity to exhibit their talent. “If not, then why we should welcome them and give them an opportunity to compete and exhibit their talent in our country,” he argued.
