“Juniper Networks as a high-tech company with cutting edge services to address the needs of the dynamic economies is eyeing the most potential markets, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar,” said Pim Versteeg, area vice president and managing director, EMEA Emerging Markets, Juniper Networks.
Pim, who was in Bahrain to meet with the officials at the Royal Court of Bahrain, ArCapita and Batelco, said Juniper Network which currently looks after the business from Qatar would consider opening an office in Bahrain.
“The largest economy in the region, Saudi Arabia, is also part of Juniper’s strategic planning to see the growth prospects for the company,” he added.
Pim, who was joined by Dubai-based Taj El Khayat, director channel and general business sector, Juniper Networks Middle East and Africa, said the GCC and the Middle East markets accounts for a significant portion of the company’s revenues.
Juniper Network, with currently over $4 billion turnover, is an active player in helping developing micro-techniques for the service providers of mobile and fixed telephony in addition to be a vital partner in public sector and finance and energy projects.
Juniper Networks has unveiled a new technology framework with new software and mobility solutions that will transform the user experience and operator economics of mobile broadband. The “new network” for mobility is designed to address rapidly changing customer behaviors and expectations, while dramatically improving total costs and revenue opportunities for service providers.
Unlike legacy networks that dominate today’s mobile landscape, Juniper’s mobility framework is built on open standards and flexible software platforms that will enable mobile operators to handle a broad range of devices, applications and customer needs.
During GSMA Mobile World Congress, Juniper announced the launch of Junos Ready Software, a growing portfolio of third party and Juniper-developed applications based on the Junos software platform.
Specifically for mobile operators, Juniper is delivering new third-party applications for mobile video delivery, addressable advertising, service monitoring, service delivery and security. The new Junos Ready software is certified and optimized to run on Junos, a cross-network software platform that enables rich user experiences, revolutionary economics and fast time to market.
New mobile security software that closes a significant security gap for enterprises and improves productivity for mobile employees will be available in Q2 2010 for popular mobile devices.
Junos Pulse is the industry’s first downloadable client software that provides secure connections across smart-phones, notebooks and net-books to a broad range of corporate applications.
Expected to be available in Q2 2010, Traffic Direct will help providers reduce network congestion, minimize impact on their mobile infrastructure, and lower their total cost of ownership.
