Turkey improved to 3-0 and can secure top spot in the six-team Group C when it plays Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
Greece won its first two games and is also likely to finish in the top four in the group and advance to the single-elimination round.
Ioannis Bourousis led Greece with 15 points, while no other Greek player scored more than nine points. Omer Asik added 12 for Turkey.
In the city of Izmir, Nicolas Batum and Mickael Gelabale each hit a pair of free throws in the final 17 seconds to help France clinch a 68-63 win over Canada.
In a gritty and defensive-minded game, Canada's Levon Kendall missed two 3-pointers to tie the game late in the fourth quarter and France center Ali Traore then blocked a running hook by Denham Brown with 18 seconds left that would have cut the lead to one.
France did the rest at the line to improve to 3-0 and put itself in a position to win the six-team Group D when it plays Lithuania on Wednesday.
"We knew they needed this game," France coach Vincent Collet said. "And they gave everything to win it." It was Canada's third straight loss, and crippled its chances to finish in the top four in the group and advance to the single-elimination round.
Batum led France with 24 points, while no other French player scored more than eight points.
"I have to be good sometimes to take over the game, and that's what I did tonight," Batum said.
Kendall led Canada with 15 points, and Gonzaga forward Kelly Olynyk added 13.
In a game that included 11 lead changes and 12 ties, the teams were level 15-15 after the first quarter and 28-28 at the half. Canada then took a 48-46 lead into the fourth quarter but were undone by poor shooting at the end.
"We tried to mix things up, a little man and little zone," Canada coach Leo Rautins said. "They found some holes here and there, as good teams do."
Earlier in Ankara, Puerto Rico earned its first win by beating China 84-76 Tuesday, using its strong transition game to overcome the Chinese big men.
Angelo Vassalo scored 22 points and Denver Nuggets forward Renaldo Balkman had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Nathan Peavy and Jose Barea added 13 points each as Puerto Rico (1-2) bounced back from losses to Greece and Russia in previous Group C games over the weekend.
China (1-2) relied heavily on 7-footers Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhizhi to stay in the game, as the duo scored 20 of the team's 21 first-quarter points. But the quicker Puerto Ricans countered with fast breaks, repeatedly beating their opponents in transition to take a 44-37 halftime lead.
China pulled within three points in the fourth quarter, but Puerto Rico again answered with a couple of fast breaks to make it 77-69 and China never looked likely to fight back.
Yi finished with 24 points, while Wang had 17.
Russia, meanwhile, bounced back from a disappointing loss by beating Ivory Coast 72-66 also in Ankara on Tuesday to keep alive its chances of advancing to the second round.
Timofey Mozgov scored 19 points and Sasha Kaun added 13 as Russia (2-1) rebounded from a surprising 65-56 loss to Turkey on Sunday.
Russia led 34-30 at halftime and increased its lead to nine points after the third quarter before holding off Ivory Coast (0-3) in the fourth.
The Russians struggled with their shooting at times but dominated on the boards, outrebounding Ivory Coast 41-29.
That was reflected on the scoresheet, as Russia had 14 points from second chances, to Ivory Coast's 5.
"Today, we gave the too many second-chance points and because of that we had to make more efforts in defense," said Ivory Coast coach Randoald Dessarzin. "In addition, we did not shoot (3-pointers) well." Ivory Coast shot just 14 percent from long range.
Russia coach David Blatt said his team still needs vast improvements to go far in the tournament, and praised Dessarzin for making the game tougher than expected.
"Normally when we lose we congratulate the other team's coach. But today I need to congratulate Dessarzin," Blatt said. "Our team is not as strong as before. We are missing many of the main players." The Boston-born Blatt said the Russian team was not likely to win a medal but will keep battling.
"We will fight all we can in the rest of the tournament," Blatt said.
Dessarzin called it "a tough game and tough loss."
New Zealand vanquishes Lebanon
In another game in Izmir, Kirk Penney scored 26 points and Thomas Abercrombie added 23 on Tuesday as New Zealand beat Lebanon 108-76 for its first victory.
Penney, the tournament's leading scorer with 28 points per game, helped sustain the Kiwis' hopes of advancing to the next round in Istanbul.
Abercrombie scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers from the same corner, in the game's first four minutes to spark New Zealand to a 32-16 lead going into the second quarter. The Kiwis dominated inside early on, and scored five layups in the last minutes of the first quarter.
Jackson Vroman had three fouls in the first half and the former Iowa State University center's absence hurt Lebanon to start the second half. New Zealand scored eight points in the paint in the first four four minutes, and by the time Vroman returned the Kiwis had built a 65-40 lead.
Penny poured in four 3-pointers in the third quarter.
New Zealand expanded its lead in the fourth quarter. Three minutes in, Fadi El-Khatib missed a desperation runner with the shot clock running out, then walked to the sideline head down as New Zealand collected the rebound and started a fast break behind him. El-Khatib finished with 18 points, and Rony Fahed Jean Abd El Nour scored 12 each.
Abercrombie's one-handed alley-oop dunk over Elias Rustom with 30 seconds left in the game invigorated the crowd after the outcome had long been decided.
It was the teams' first meeting in a senior men's tournament.
New Zealand plays Canada Wednesday, and New Zealand plays group favorite Spain.
