The officials were present at the main entrances of the mosque early in the morning to help the sick and provide them with first-aid services as needed.
Some of these officials were in vehicles in the courtyards of the mosque in order to be near those who required their services.
Hussein Al-Otaibi, a Saudi, commended the Red Crescent officials for their services. “They came to the mosque in the early morning to provide necessary medical services to pilgrims and worshippers,” he said.
Fayez Ahmed, another Saudi, said the presence of Red Crescent personnel inside the mosque compound helped in dealing with patients with chronic diseases quickly.
Red Crescent vehicles and ambulances also visited recreational centers and fun parks in various parts of the city to provide medical help to individuals and families celebrating Eid Al-Fitr.
