Relief supplies sent to Pakistan flood victims

The trucks carried essential commodities for distribution among 40,000 families in Swat, Dera Ghazi Khan (DGK), Layyah, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Dera Allah Yar, Jaffarabad, and Skardu district of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Saudi Ambassador Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer, Federal Law Minister Babar Awan, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Azam Khan Swati Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Federal Minister for Zakat Ushar Noor ul Haq Qadri attended the dispatching ceremony.
Awan thanked King Abdullah for the sustained relief aid for the flood victims. He noted the role of Saudi relief program in alleviating the suffering of the flood victims across the country.
Saudi Arabia has pledged to provide about 1,000 truckloads of relief goods for the flood-hit people. Ambassador Al-Ghadeer has been playing a big role in the Kingdom's relief program.
Meanwhile, a fourth Saudi Arabian Airlines cargo flight carrying 55 tons of dates and 30 tons of flour arrived in Karachi on Friday as a gift from Crown Prince Sultan to the flood victims.
