Prince Faisal and the consul general discussed a number of issues concerning Pakistanis living in the southern Asir province, including difficulties they face while repatriating bodies of dead relatives. He also discussed the murder of a Pakistani in Asir. The suspect in the case is still at large.
During the meeting, Khan praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for his humanitarian gesture toward Pakistan’s flood victims.
“This generous assistance reflects the strong relations between the two countries,” the consul general said.
Khan said Saudi Arabia and Pakistan enjoy close fraternal relations that have stood the test of time. “Being strategic partners, the two countries share a common strategic vision,” he said.
The consul general earlier attended a meeting of the Pakistani community in Abha, which raised a donation of SR16,000 for their country’s flood victims.
