The ministers include Sayed Khurshid Shah, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis from Sukkar (PPP), Federal Minister for Education Sardar Assef Ahmad Ali (PPP), Samsam Bukhari, Minister of State for Information (PPP) and Amir Jamiate Ulemai Islam (JUI).
In a notice, the ECP suspended membership of the lawmakers pending submission of details of their assets.
The list includes the head of the Kashmir Committee and leader of the Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam Maulana Fazl ur Rehman, the firebrand Pakistan Muslim League(Q) member, Kashmala Tariq, PML-Q Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam, PPP’s Minister for Labor and Manpower Syed Khurshid Shah, Minister of State for Information Samsam Bukhari and other prominent legislators.
According to the ECP notification, 71 suspended lawmakers came from Punjab, 16 were from Sindh, 10 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 12 from Balochistan.
The suspended members cannot attend Parliament's session on Nov. 1.
