Hilal will like to put behind their last week’s defeat against Zob Ahan of Iran in the AFC Champions League double leg semifinal, which they went down by a solitary goal and 2-0 on aggregate.
To make matters worse, this is likely to be Hilal’s coach last match as he leaves next week for a new assignment, to coach the Morocco national team.
The club’s president who resigned, has called for a honorary members meeting to choose his successor, will lead the team for the rest of the competition.
Nasr will try to take advantage of the current situation and will try to force a win. On the other hand, Hilal has to make amends for their AFC loss and only a win will appease their disappointed fans.
Hilal, who are fourth on the league table with 15 points, has still four matches in hand. A win will take their points tally to 18 and they will inch closer to the top.
Al-Ittihad is on top of the standing with 23 points.
On the other hand a win for Nasr, who are third on the standing with 16 points, will put them in the second spot with 19 points.
On paper, Nasr has been most impressive team in the last five rounds of the league.
A team of Spanish referees will supervise the match.
In round ten encounter in Dammam, Ittifaq defeated Al-Hazem 2-1. Ittifaq is in the second place with 19 points while Al-Hazem remains at the bottom with three points.
