Sheikh Abdullah Al-Yahya said each court will have a judge who will also compile a comprehensive report about achievements, difficulties and new suggestions to improve justice during the Haj season. The report will be sent to the Supreme Judicial Council.
According to the spokesman, the Haj courts will look at criminal cases that do not involve acts of sabotage and will also consider financial violations of not more than SR20,000 in addition to any other cases to be decided by the council.
The establishment of the courts was decided by the 11th meeting of the council held last week under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Saleh Bin-Humaid.
Al-Yahya said the courts will be set up near the holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah and in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
