The award was received on his behalf by Prince Saud bin Khaled Al-Faisal during a ceremony here Sunday.
Prince Khaled was given the award in recognition of his efforts to develop religious tourism in the holy city of Makkah, and his pioneering philanthropic work for the King Faisal Foundation.
WTA nominations featured 5,000 companies in 1,000 categories across 162 countries. The winners are selected by thousands of industry professionals and consumers worldwide who have been voting online.
The WTA was launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognize excellence in the world's travel and tourism industry.
