SteelSeries has partnered with GUNNAR Optiks to create SteelSeries Scope digital performance eyewear for gamers. Either prescription or nonprescription lenses are available. The glasses are designed to provide gamers with a visually enhanced experience while minimizing eyestrain and fatigue. SteelSeries Scope Pro gaming glasses include a larger lens for extended peripheral vision and a flat temple for comfort while wearing gaming headsets. The glasses are based on GUNNAR’s i-AMP lens technology, which includes the iONik lens tint to optimize light transmission and color contrast in order to filter out harsh light and reduce eyestrain. The fRACTYL lens geometry mimics nature to aid the natural focusing power of the cornea and lens while creating a preferential ocular microclimate. Prescription lenses are available in the Scope frame through Carl Zeiss Vision.

VSee (www.vsee.com) is a service that provides high quality, low bandwidth high definition video conferencing. VSee’s offering also includes a full suite of collaboration tools such as application sharing, movie sharing, desktop sharing, file transfers, USB device sharing and remote camera control. VSee requires only a fraction of the bandwidth of Skype, Adobe, Cisco, etc., needs no special devices and works well with 3G mobile broadband networks. Add a computer, webcam, speakers and a microphone and the service can be set up in minutes. Laptop and netbook webcams, speakers and microphones work just fine.
