Deputy of Arab League Chief Ahmed ben Heli has warned the move would have repercussions on the peace process.
He said Wednesday that the Arab League believed the bill shows how Israeli government is “radicalizing international law and principles of peace process.” He also called on the United States to take an action against the bill.
The bill, passed Monday, requires a two-thirds Knesset majority to cede land in east Jerusalem to the Palestinians or in the Golan Heights to Syria.
Failing that, either withdrawal would become subject to a referendum.
