Kingdom to cut customs tariffs of 122 products

He said the products benefiting from tariff cuts included
chemicals, perfumes, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, insecticides and
plastic goods.
“Tariffs in this category will be reduced from 20-7.6
percent to 5.5-6.5 percent,” Al-Khulaiwi said, adding that tariffs of 10
agricultural projects would be slashed from 25 to 15 percent.
He said Saudi Arabia has reduced tariffs of 816 products
ever since it joined the World Trade Organization in 2005, including 472
products in the first phase, 22 in the second phase (2007), 180 in the third
phase (2008) and 20 in the fourth phase in 2009.
