According to the agreement terms, Bayanat Al-Oula will plug 4,200 housing units, villas and apartments, along with supporting structures like gyms, restaurants, schools and a mall, into its state of the art national fiber optic network. Other places that will be connected inside the three million square meter real estate project include three first aid centers, mosques, public utility buildings and security services utilized by the police and Civil Defense.
Bayanat Al-Oula will conduct all technical and commercial feasibility studies needed to deploy telecom, data communication, and value added services, taking into consideration the future needs of launching high quality smart services in the area.
“Our state of the art advanced infrastructure can deliver high quality and reliable advanced telecom services, and value added services to the Nesmat Al-Riyadh project,” said Abdulaziz Altamami, Mobily’s chief operations officer.
“We want to leverage this infrastructure to deliver one of the first smart neighborhoods in the capital city of Riyadh,” he added.
Global best practices have been used in the design of Nesmat Al-Riyadh’s housing units, Altamami said, adding that this will allow Bayanat to extend connectivity all over the neighborhood.
“Mobily is not just a mobile operator. Today, we are a company that can deliver integrated telecom solutions with support from our subsidiaries,” said Altamami.
Wael Abdulhamid Al-Deeb, Thabat Real Estate’s chief executive officer, said the signing of the agreement with Bayanat Al-Oula would distinguish the Nesmat Al Riyadh real estate project by placing it among the few smart homes, where residents have access to high quality and advanced telecom services — voice, data communication — using Mobily’s advanced infrastructure.
Al-Deeb said Thabat was leveraging its experience along with that of its partners, Talat Mustafa Group (TMG) and Al-Oula Real Estate Development. Each partner, he added, has the needed experience to accomplish the project at the highest level of quality and on time.
Taher Al-Dabbagh, Mobily’s senior vice president for real estate business development, said Mobily through its subsidiary Bayanat was the main telecom provider for the Nesmat Al-Riyadh project and would be providing IPTV, Broadband Internet, value added services, and other advanced services needed by customers.
