In line with this initiative, BRJ Egypt recently financed a project for manufacturing and fitting hoses that was started by Armia Makeen and Khudair Mohammed Khudair. The two men have been provided with machines and equipment for their venture.
Khudair said that the workshop receives specifications of required hoses, and starts the production process following a production and supply schedule.
Makeen said he communicates with different organizations from the public and private sectors which need their products to negotiate quantities and prices. He added that the finance the two partners have received from BRJ Egypt has been crucial for upgrading the production capacity of the work that they do and has helped create four additional permanent job opportunities that may double as demand grows.
Bab Rizq Jameel is an initiative of ALJ Community Initiatives. Launched in Saudi Arabia, BRJ successfully created 40,000 job opportunities as of November 2010. BRJ has branches in the countries where Abdul Latif Jameel Group operates, including Egypt, Syria and Turkey, and will soon expand to Morocco and Algeria.
