Jeddah expat wins kudos for work in Indian community

Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will confer the award on Karimuddin at a ceremony which will be held in New Delhi on Sunday.
Karimuddin is also member of the Higher Board of the International Indian Schools in Saudi Arabia. The award recognizes Karimuddin’s commitment to the welfare of the Indian community in the Kingdom both in his professional capacity as a medical doctor and for his yeoman services rendered to the Indian schools in the Kingdom. 
For over 30 years, Karimuddin has been associated with promoting the health of Indian children by developing and leading community initiatives in important areas. As the chairman of the Management Committee of the Indian School in Jeddah, he successfully pursued the highest standards in curricular and co-curricular areas to offer the best educational services to its students. 
Welcoming the award, Indian Ambassador Talmiz Ahmad said that Karimuddin has a long record of selfless and devoted service to the Indian community in the Kingdom. He expressed confidence that with the award, Karimuddin would gain a fresh impetus to continue his commitment to community service, particularly in his capacity as member of Higher Board of the International Indian Schools in the Kingdom.
