Hail police spokesman Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi said authorities were informed that a woman in her 40s was brought dead to hospital with a piece of cloth around her neck.
Al-Zinaidi said police were investigating the incident.
In another incident, a three-year-old girl fell into a water cistern and drowned at a home in Hail, Al-Zinaidi said. That incident is also being investigated, he added.
Reports show that there has been a surge in suicide cases in the Kingdom in recent years.
