The police added that two people were seriously and light injured in the incident. The victim was evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital, where he died of his wounds shortly afterward. His body was transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for autopsy.
The police said that some of the people involved in the fight were intoxicated. Two of them were arrested and faced a remand hearing in Jerusalem Magistrate's Court.
Meanwhile, Israeli security forces arrested three Fatah leaders in the East Jerusalem's neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah and Beit Hanina.
Dmitri Diliani, a member of Fatah party's revolutionary council, said in a statement that special Israeli forces arrested Nidal Abu Gharbiyeh, Abdulsalam al-Hidreh and Khaled Al-Gharabli in Jerusalem after storming their houses.
Diliani added that the three are the Fatah secretary generals in neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah, Wadi Al-Jouz, Al-Tour, Beit Hanina, Issawiyah and Sho'fat.
The official added that the three "were taken to al-Maskoubiyeh jail and they are still in jail and they are under the Israeli security forces' investigation."
Also in Jerusalem, Palestinian sources and residents in east Jerusalem said the Israeli police isolated the eastern part of the city for the second Friday and imposed tight security measures at the entrances to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex.
