“Shadows of Silence” is directed by Saudi Abdullah Al-Muhaisin and looks at the past of Arabs and how they feel about their uncertain future. The second short film is “Ayish (living),” by Abdullah Al-Eyaf.
It tells the story of a Saudi security guard who lives a routine life until a dramatic event
one day turns his world upside down.
A documentary directed by Saudi film maker Mamdouh Salim, called “Jeddah: Where Cultures and Civilizations Meet,” discusses the effects of the floods on Jeddah through interviews with five completely different people living in the city as they carry out volunteering duties during the disaster.
Other documentaries and feature films from Bangladesh, South Korea, Pakistan, China and other countries will also be shown at the consulate generals of Sri Lanka and Brunei till Feb. 28.
The films, being shown daily from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., are organized by Asian Consuls General Club.
