“One of them is the new specialist center in north Jeddah, to be opened in a few weeks. It is an integrated and independent unit with 96 doctors and paramedics,” director of Jeddah’s Health Department Dr. Sami Badawood said in a seminar on dental science organized by King Fahd Hospital’s new dental center in Jeddah on Wednesday.
The dental center comprises 40 dental clinics in addition to a dental laboratory, sterilization facility, conference hall and training department, he said. He added that the Ministry of Health allocated SR50 million to set up a new specialized dental center at King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Jeddah.
The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Saudi Society for Dental Medicine, also discussed 18 work papers in addition to two workshops on topics related to advanced techniques in dental medicine with the participation of experts from Lebanon, Egypt and the US.
