The booklet is designed in such a way that children can paint drawings and pictures associating the first aid service and telephone number of the Red Crescent. The booklet is part of a series of awareness booklets aimed at all age groups.
The booklet, which is designed in an attractive style, also stresses the significance of first aid besides removing wrong impressions about first aid procedures.
Director General of the Women’s wing of the Red Crescent Society Dr. Muneerah Al-Mazrou said the distribution of the children’s booklet has started in some hospitals and will also be distributed in some primary schools. Other awareness publications, which give a brief account of the contents of a first aid box and the number of the Red Crescent operations room, are also being distributed, she said. The Friends Society has also trained 100 women officials of the education department on the first aid operations free of charge.
