In a statement issued after the weekly meeting, chaired by King Abdullah, the Cabinet said the new programs would also strengthen the various state institutions and agencies.
"The benefits of those royal decrees cover all groups of citizens in the country," it said.
While reviewing developments in some Arab countries, the Cabinet emphasized the need to protect the safety and security of citizens in those countries.
Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said the Cabinet approved the memorandum of understanding signed with Denmark for political consultation between foreign ministries of the two countries.
According to another decision taken by the Cabinet, he said, Saudi Arabia will join the Istanbul Convention on Temporary Admission. The Cabinet changed Article 48 of the disciplinary law covering all government employees who are subject to the Labor Law.
The Cabinet appointed Abdul Rahman A-Salim, director general of water in the Makkah province; Abdullah Al-Eissa, minister plenipotentiary at the Foreign Ministry; Ghanam Al-Ghanam, customs director in Bathaa; and Omar Al-Omar, administrative consultant at the Supreme Judiciary Council.
Meanwhile, Commerce and Industry Minister Abdullah Zainal Alireza said 500 new employees would be deployed in different parts of the Kingdom to monitor prices at markets. He made this statement following a meeting with a group of businessmen.
Labor Minister Adel Fakieh, who attended the meeting, emphasized the need to prepare Saudi youth to take up various jobs in the private sector.
"We have instructed businessmen to speed up implementation of the Saudization policy," he said.
A number of new measures would be announced shortly to Saudize jobs.
