Investigations showed that the 25-year-old victim died after he was hit by an iron rod from behind, said spokesman for Hail police Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi.
“The fleeing suspect was arrested with the help of a shepherd at a deserted wadi, eight km from the location of the crime,” Al-Zinaidi told Arab News. The police are investigating, he said.
In another development, the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Hail arrested an Asian expatriate for manufacturing and supplying liquor in the district of Barzan. The commission raided an apartment following a tip-off about the shady activities taking place in the apartment. The commission seized 89 bottles and six jars of liquor apart from the devices used for distilling and packing.
