With good emphasis on providing a moral-friendly environment, the school strives to employ all the strategies and ideas to transform a student into a world leader. The school’s uniquely integrated academic program has been successfully implemented and as a result the students have demonstrated all round development. At the same time, the school identifies and works with students who may experience shortfalls in certain subjects to put them back on track.
The school has put in continuous efforts on using “Innovative, dynamic, entertaining and applied learning” approach to teaching and learning. After carrying out this noble cause for a few years, they realized the necessity of re-locating to a bigger campus that could provide better facilities and commodious space for our students. They were keenly interested in having large playgrounds and state-of-the-art infrastructure with well-equipped labs and libraries. This ultimately led them to success as they rented a bigger campus now, which is very near to the present location in East Riyadh.
The new campus provides numerous benefits such as newly constructed buildings for boys, girls and KG sections, as well as large playgrounds for boys and girls that can ideally host sports programs on a large scale, and state-of-the-art libraries for science, math and computer science to ensure that the students get the exposure needed, and vast spread-out area for students to enjoy their time at school.
“We have seen phenomenal growth without compromising our core values. We believe the school re-location will be a welcome change to students and parents,” Taqwa International School Chairman Rizwan Zahoor said, adding “This is what matters because this is our underlying commitment to parents.” The re-location move has allowed the school to increase the intake capacity for the academic year 2011-12. Which means many more students can be benefited here onward. We have a multi-dimensional approach to our modus operandi. To refine the approach and methodology of infusing good quality in students, the school has taken many initiatives such as Jumpstart programs for spoken English and math methodology workshops for teachers, daily checklists for teachers, monthly checklists for parents, introduction of growth communication newsletter for parents, appointment of Arabic scholars for Arabic teaching, hiring of ex-national level player as a sports coach, special volleyball coaching, fun-day out in Isteraha, providing guidance material and knowledge snippets on every assignment page in the school diary, etc.
“Our round-the-year events provide an infotainment model that is meant to divert students’ attention from hazardous TV and video games to healthy programs,” added Rizwan.
The school’s coordination with the parent community strengthens the motive of providing holistic education. “As we move away from the traditional end of the year exam system to continuous assessment, teaching and learning is becoming interesting, correction and remedy is becoming easier, but it will be a while before regular evaluation becomes a habit,” he said while referring to CBSE’s Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). The growth phenomenon has not pushed accountability to the background. “Here expansion is not repeat business.” He says. “Each day is important, each student is important.”
