The Ukraine prime minister welcomed the Saudi minister and highlighted the strong relations between the two countries.
Also on Thursday, Prince Khaled met with Ukraine Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry and discussed prospects of strengthening bilateral relations.
Prince Khaled concluded a several-days visit to Ukraine on Thursday and was seen off at the airport by senior Defense Ministry officials and Saudi Ambassador in Kiev Jedai Al-Hadal.
During the visit, Prince Khaled also met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Yezhel and discussed prospects of expanding military cooperation.
During the meeting, Yezhel expressed his ministry’s readiness to assist in the training of Saudi officers in higher military educational institutions of Ukraine.
In addition, the Saudi delegation expressed interest in getting acquainted with the capabilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. The two sides have agreed to set up experts’ groups for detailed study of the promising directions of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector.
Earlier, Prince Khaled visited the national military museum in Kiev and was briefed on its various exhibits, including military equipment and weapons from various phases in history.
